Jsou to již dva tisíce let od okamžiku, kdy povstal mocný pán démonů Anos Voldigord, který byl tak silný, že si dokázal podrobit celý svět lidí, na prach spálit les prastarých duchů, ovládnout všechny magické elementály a zničit i samotné bohy. Tak vznikla společnost, ve které démoni hrají prim. Krutý pán démonů však časem tajemně zmizel, a tak se svět za těch dva tisíce let vlastně docela změnil. Vše se uklidnilo a i když dál světu vládli Anosovi nástupci, poznali všechny přeživší rasy klid a mír. Nyní se na zdejší magické škole Delsgade otevírá nový ročník a proroctví říkají, že právě zde by se měl objevit další budoucí pán démonů. Měsíc před zkouškami do nového školního ročníku se v jednom obyčejném domě, dvěma vcelku normálním lidem, narodil velmi zvláštní chlapec. Nejen že za celý měsíc dokázal neskutečně vyrůst a nyní vypadá jako obyčejný středoškolák, ale také má evidentně nezměrný magický potenciál a sám sobě říká Anos. (Jeoffrey)
